Advice:

Windows 7 is a great Operating System:

After months of telling everyone to not install Windows Vista I am giving everyone the go-ahead to up grade to Windows 7. Windows 7 is a great Operating system that has corrected many of the flaws of Vista. With Windows 7 you will enjoy faster and more convenient searching, increased security and easier navigation.

Hard Drive Failure Guide:

Failing Hard Drives normally give warning signs such as a high pitched whine, continuous clicking or other unusual noises.  The sooner you turn it off and send it in for data recovery the better chance I will be able to recover your data.  Once you begin to hear unusual noises, please turn your computer off and have it evaluated to give the best chance for full data recovery.

Crash Packet:

Your computer will crash!  Whether it will happen tomorrow or in 3 years no one knows but eventually something will fail.  Computers built in the last two years do not seem to last very long and I have witnessed many fail after only 1 year.  I urge you assemble a crash packet.  This includes all the software/passwords/data stored elsewhere for a quick recovery.  I can consult with you on how to assemble the crash packet.  This will save you lots of money and a major headache when the crash day occurs.  Half the battle of recovering from a crash is recreating your computer that you spent years building up.  Think about all the software and updates you did!  Think about the endless folders and files that were stored.
